Summary: As a warehouse worker and delivery driver, you will primarily work hands-on in a warehouse, assisting with our daily operations. This includes loading and unloading, palletizing, and packing. Occasionally, you will deliver our MSI merchandise locally. During these local deliveries, you'll conduct driveway deliveries and use an electric pallet jack to unload pallets.Work Hours: Monday to Friday from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, once saturday a month.Seniority Level:Entry LevelEmployment Type:Full-time Compensation: This hourly, non-exempt position pays from $23 to $24 per hour, with overtime compensated at 1.5 times the base rate. New hires usually earn between $65,000 and $75,000 annually, or more, depending on experience, overtime hours, and bonuses.Responsibilities:Deliver countertop and flooring material safely and efficiently.Conduct driveway deliveries and utilize the electric pallet jack to unload pallets at each delivery location.Assist in the loading, unloading, and proper securing of cargo.Skillfully position blocks, ties, straps/chains, and binders for cargo securement.Maintain a constant state of alertness and operate vehicles safely at all times.Exhibit patience and a polite demeanor towards fellow road users.Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills.Adapt to changing conditions, prioritize a customer-centric approach, and uphold a commitment to delivering quality service.Work independently while maintaining focus.Perform additional duties as required or requested. Requirements:Valid Class C Driver’s License.Minimum of 1 year of verifiable driving experience with heavy-duty vehicles.Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience working in a warehouse.Comfortable with making local deliveries with multiple stops.Electric pallet jack experience for unloading the palletsSuccessful completion of driving test and all DOT pre-employment requirements.Safety-minded with proficiency in maintaining a legal and accurate logbook.Capable of understanding and interpreting bill of landing/picking sheets.Previous experience utilizing an iPad or tablet is preferred.Bilingual in Spanish is a plus. This role has the following physical demands: Generate 137lbs of vertical push/pull force. Able to lift and transfer 65lbs. Able to carry at least 30lbs the length of the truck bed. Able to ascend and descend multiple-rung ladder. Able to frequently bend, stoop, squat, kneel, and/or crouch. Able to work at elevated height of 72” above the ground while assembling and disassembling strap, ties, ratchets, nuts, bolts, and other securing or fastening equipment. Able to work at lowered height of 6” above the ground while assembling and disassembling strap, ties, ratchets, nuts, bolts, and other securing or fastening equipment. Perform store opening and/or closing functions at the front end based on assigned shiftSales Floor and Stocking:Ensure a continuing focus on increasing sales and managing shrinkage.  Work with customers to ensure they find the products they need and are made aware of all the other services available to them in the store.Assist in receiving inventory shipments and maintaining and stocking shelves in a neat and orderly fashion while also ensuring proper rotation and product quality audits.  Report any low stock levels to store management. Ensure all merchandise is properly labeled. This includes blaster tagging unscannable merchandise, applying catch weight labels to all merchandise sold by the pound, and affixing plu tags to produce items.Replenish the sales floor daily by down-stocking freight from top stock. Ensure that the oldest product is brought down first and stocked according to FIFO.Reach trucks and pallet jacks will be used in the movement of products and the stocking.Utilize computer programs such as Microsoft Word and Excel, and proprietary software as needed.Ensure all products are easily accessible, visually appealing, and constantly available.Assist with price changes as directed by the Pricing Lead and Store Management. Assist in the opening and closing duties of the store. Participate in the inventory and cycle count process as needed. Customer Courtesy:Ensure the facility is well maintained and is a safe environment for staff and customers by following safety policies and practices. Notify store management of any safety issues in the store and correct them if possible.Ensure the cleanliness of the sales floor, front end, and restrooms. Utilize cleaning equipment to assist in these duties.Ensure the cleanliness of the parking lot and store entry area.Gather carts from the parking lot and cart corrals and bring them back to the designated area.
