This position is Monday-Friday, but could as the program expands, be a rotating weekend position.Principle Duties and Responsibilities:Ensure HCAH medications are filled, packaged, and ready for pick up at designated timesPrepare IV medicationsAssist HCAH pharmacist and pharmacy leadership in the advancement of HCAH – support implementation of ideas and goals set forth by Newark Campus Director Pharmacy OperationsCollaborate with HCAH pharmacist to ensure required tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner that includes but not limited to narcotic reviews for appropriate documentation and completion of charge credit for discharged patientsTrain and facilitate training of new staff and re-educate existing staff in all pharmacy user groupsParticipate in the development and review/modification of polices and/or proceduresRepresent the department on inter-departmental and system level projects, initiatives, and committees, assigned by the Newark Campus Director Pharmacy Operations; participate in projects and on assigned committees to impart knowledge and provide expertise related to the pharmacy computer system and technology; communicate the status of system projects, activities, and issues to pharmacy leadership when needed.Travel to other office locations to meet department needs including HCAH Command Center.Education and experience requirements:High School Diploma requiredHospital pharmacy experience preferredPharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification requiredComputer experience preferredPhysical demands:Standing and walking up to 8 miles a day with intermittent sitting. Occasional extended periods at computer terminal. Required movement throughout ChristianaCare.
